Job Description

The Commercial Construction Superintendent - Interiors - DC/MD will:

  • Oversee day-to-day field operations while working closely with senior project leadership.
  • Coordinate subcontractors, vendors, and material deliveries to maintain project schedules.
  • Monitor construction quality and ensure work meets plans, specifications, and industry standards.
  • Promote and enforce jobsite safety while participating in safety meetings and inspections.
  • Maintain daily reports, manpower tracking, and schedule updates.
  • Assist with punch list completion and project closeout activities.
  • Coordinate inspections and ensure deficiencies are resolved promptly.
  • Communicate project progress, challenges, and solutions with project managers and superintendents.
  • Support and mentor junior field personnel and trade partners as needed.
  • Contribute to successful project execution across healthcare, office, hospitality, educational, and industrial interior construction projects.

The Successful Applicant

The Commercial Construction Superintendent - Interiors - DC/MD will have:

  • 5+ years of construction experience in a Superintendent, Assistant Superintendent, or field leadership role.
  • Experience managing commercial construction or interior renovation projects.
  • Strong understanding of scheduling, subcontractor coordination, and jobsite logistics.
  • Knowledge of construction safety practices, quality control, and building codes.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills with the ability to build relationships in the field.
  • Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications.
  • Desire to take on increased responsibility and grow into managing projects independently.

  • Base salary: $100,000 - $115,000
