Job Description

  • Lead all on-site construction activities from mobilisation through project closeout
  • Manage superintendents, assistant superintendents, field engineers, subcontractors, and trade partners
  • Ensure projects are delivered safely, on schedule, within budget, and to quality standards
  • Develop and maintain detailed project schedules and short-term look-ahead plans
  • Coordinate daily field operations, sequencing, logistics, inspections, and site safety programmes
  • Conduct subcontractor coordination meetings and maintain productive working relationships
  • Monitor project progress and identify solutions to schedule, quality, and constructability challenges
  • Partner closely with Project Managers, owners, architects, consultants, and municipal authorities
  • Maintain project documentation, daily reports, safety records, and quality control processes
  • Lead site-specific safety initiatives and promote a culture of accountability and compliance
  • Review drawings and specifications to verify compliance and identify potential conflicts
  • Drive punch list completion, commissioning activities, turnover, and project closeout
  • Mentor and develop field personnel while supporting the growth of the construction operations team
  • Represent the company professionally with clients, vendors, and stakeholders throughout the construction lifecycle

The Successful Applicant

Required Qualifications

  • 10+ years of commercial construction field leadership experience
  • Proven experience as a Superintendent or Lead Superintendent on commercial projects
  • Experience managing ground-up construction and major renovation projects
  • Strong knowledge of construction sequencing, scheduling, safety, and quality control
  • Ability to lead multiple subcontractors and coordinate complex project activities
  • Experience reading and interpreting construction drawings and specifications
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
  • Demonstrated leadership, accountability, and decision-making capabilities
  • Proficiency with construction technology, reporting tools, and scheduling software
  • Ability to maintain a proactive, solutions-oriented approach in a fast-paced environment



Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience across retail, office, warehouse, municipal, recreation, childcare, or similar commercial sectors
  • OSHA certification or equivalent safety credentials
  • Construction management, engineering, or related education
  • Experience mentoring and developing field personnel
