If you are looking for a respected contractor with a collaborative culture, strong project backlog, and excellent work/life balance, this could be the opportunity for you.Job DescriptionThe Estimator will:Compute costs by analyzing labor, material, equipment, and time requirementsPrepare project estimates by reviewing proposals, blueprints, specifications, and related documentsResolve discrepancies through detailed cost analysis and information gatheringPresent completed estimates by assembling and displaying numerical and descriptive informationPrepare special reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing data and market trendsPerform conceptual, schematic, design development, and hard bid estimatesReview plans and specifications for consistency, accuracy, and completenessManage all levels of quantity takeoffs while applying appropriate unit pricingSolicit and evaluate subcontractor and supplier proposalsIdentify value engineering opportunities and project cost savingsCollaborate with project managers and preconstruction personnel to successfully pursue projectsDevelop into a leadership role within the estimating and preconstruction departmentMPI does not discriminate on the basis of race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, national origin, age, disability, veteran status, marital status, or based on an individual's status in any group or class protected by applicable federal, state or local law.
