The Traveling Superintendent will oversee ground-up multifamily and commercial construction projects across the Southeast, managing all field operations from mobilization through turnover. This is a true onsite leadership role requiring an experienced Superintendent capable of independently running projects, coordinating trade partners, managing schedules, and maintaining quality and safety standards.

Job Description

  • Lead all onsite construction activities from groundbreaking through project completion
  • Manage subcontractors, vendors, and project logistics
  • Develop and maintain project schedules using Microsoft Project
  • Ensure projects meet safety, quality, budget, and schedule objectives
  • Coordinate inspections, approvals, and project documentation
  • Conduct daily jobsite meetings and subcontractor coordination meetings
  • Work closely with Project Managers and company leadership
  • Manage field reporting and documentation using Project Site (Trimble platform)
  • Build and maintain strong client and subcontractor relationships
  • Lead project closeout and turnover activities

The Successful Applicant

  • Proven experience as a Lead Superintendent on ground-up construction projects
  • Multifamily construction experience strongly preferred
  • Commercial construction experience involving structural steel will also be considered
  • Ability to independently manage projects valued at $20M+
  • Strong knowledge of scheduling, sequencing, safety, and quality control
  • Experience leading subcontractors and field personnel
  • Strong communication and leadership abilities
  • Willingness to travel throughout the Southeast
  • Stable career history with demonstrated project leadership experience
