Job Description

  • Conduct detailed credit assessments of existing and prospective counterparties, including financial statement analysis and risk evaluation.
  • Support business teams by providing credit perspectives on new opportunities, products, and market developments.
  • Monitor counterparty exposures and identify emerging credit concerns or concentration risks.
  • Develop, enhance, and maintain credit risk methodologies, policies, and monitoring tools.
  • Deliver actionable risk insights and recommendations to support informed commercial decision-making.
  • Prepare risk reporting materials and presentations for senior management and governance forums.
  • Assist in the management of risk mitigation solutions, including insurance arrangements and other credit protection structures.
  • Work alongside technology, data, and operations teams to improve risk reporting, analytics, and workflow efficiency.
  • Contribute to ongoing initiatives focused on strengthening the overall risk management framework.

The Successful Applicant

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting, Mathematics, or a related quantitative field.
  • 4+ years of experience in credit risk, counterparty risk, corporate banking, capital markets, trading, or a related financial services environment.
  • Strong understanding of credit analysis, financial statement review, and risk assessment techniques.
  • Experience evaluating institutional, corporate, or trading counterparties.
  • Ability to analyse complex situations and make sound, data-driven recommendations.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the confidence to challenge and influence decisions when appropriate.
  • Strong attention to detail and the ability to thrive in a dynamic, fast-moving environment.
  • Proficiency with Excel and risk reporting tools; exposure to data analytics platforms is advantageous.
