Job Description

  • Lead a full ITAR compliance gap assessment across operations, systems, and third-party relationships
  • Develop and execute a structured remediation roadmap with clear ownership and timelines
  • Personally implement program components, including policies, training materials, and access controls
  • Establish and maintain a robust Technology Control Plan (TCP) and documentation framework
  • Drive cross-functional alignment with Engineering, IT, HR, Legal, Sales, and Operations
  • Manage compliance tracking, reporting progress, and escalating risks to leadership
  • Own export license lifecycle management (applications, renewals, amendments, usage tracking)
  • Review and approve technology transfers, foreign national access, and deemed export scenarios
  • Conduct internal audits and continuously improve compliance controls
  • Lead external audits and regulatory engagements (DDTC, DCSA, DoD, etc.)
  • Manage voluntary disclosures, including root cause analysis and corrective actions
  • Develop and deliver targeted ITAR training programs across the organization
  • Maintain and update policies, processes, and agreements in alignment with export regulations

The Successful Applicant

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business, Law, or related field
  • 5+ years of hands-on ITAR and/or EAR compliance experience
  • Deep knowledge of USML, CCL, and export licensing processes
  • Proven experience building or transforming compliance programs
  • Strong project management skills with cross-functional leadership experience
  • Experience supporting or leading regulatory audits and agency interactions
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to simplify complex regulations
  • Must meet U.S. Person requirements (per federal regulations)
