Job Description

Construction Assistant Project Manager - Manhattan, NY

    • Assist Project Managers with the planning, coordination, and execution of commercial interior construction projects.
    • Manage project documentation, including RFIs, submittals, change orders, and meeting minutes.
    • Coordinate with subcontractors, architects, consultants, and clients throughout the project lifecycle.
    • Track project schedules, budgets, and procurement activities to ensure successful project delivery.
    • Support buyout processes, vendor management, and material procurement.
    • Participate in site meetings and assist with resolving project challenges.
    • Monitor project progress and help maintain quality, safety, and schedule requirements.
    • Prepare project reports and maintain accurate project records.

The Successful Applicant

A successful Construction Assistant Project Manager should have:

    • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, or a related field preferred.
    • 1-4 years of experience with a general contractor, construction management firm, or subcontractor.
    • Experience working on commercial interiors, tenant fit-outs, corporate office, or renovation projects preferred.
    • Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
    • Proficiency in construction management software and Microsoft Office.
    • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
    • Eagerness to learn, take ownership, and develop into a Project Manager role.
