Job Description

  • Prepare detailed and accurate construction cost estimates based on project specifications and plans.
  • Analyze project requirements to determine material, labor, and equipment needs.
  • Collaborate with project managers and clients to clarify project scope and requirements.
  • Evaluate subcontractor bids and negotiate pricing to ensure cost-effectiveness.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of market prices and trends for construction materials and labor.
  • Provide value engineering suggestions to optimize project budgets without compromising quality.
  • Prepare and present cost estimates and reports to stakeholders for approval.
  • Ensure all estimates comply with company policies and industry standards.

The Successful Applicant

A successful Construction Estimator should have:

  • At least 2 years of commercial experience.
  • Bachelor's Degree in related field.
  • Local to Metro Atlanta.
  • Experience with preparing detailed cost estimates for construction projects.
  • Strong knowledge of construction materials, methods, and industry standards.
  • Ability to analyze blueprints and technical documents.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
  • Proficiency in estimating software and relevant tools.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Capability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
