Opportunity to help lead preconstruction efforts for a very well respected Indianapolis & Midwest GC that is rapidly and successfully growing in the Indy market with a secured back log of $250M+. The role focuses on conceptual & hard-bid estimating across education, industrial, and commercial sectors. You will be working directly with the Chief Estimator to grow their preconstruction division across Indy.
  • Role is Open Due to Market Expansion and Growth
  • Eventually Grow Into Director of Estimating/Precon

Job Description

  • Work with the Director of preconstruction to help lead efforts for large-scale commercial, education, and industrial projects
  • Put together detailed estimates and evaluate subcontractor bids
  • Quantity takeoffs and supplier bids
  • Manage estimating for commercial construction projects valued at $10M++
  • Bid proposals
  • Collaborate closely with project managers, field teams, and executives to align on project strategy
  • Support growth of the Indianapolis office through strategic project delivery
  • Utilize company systems and tools to manage estimating workflow

The Successful Applicant

  • Experience in preconstruction and estimating across commercial, education, concrete, or industrial sector
  • Proven ability to lead collaborate with project managers, field staff, and team members, and executives
  • Comfortable using industry-standard tools and systems
  • Demonstrates strong communication, leadership, and a commitment to quality and schedule adherence
  • Aligns with company values of professionalism, transparency, and strategic project selection
  • Motivated to contribute to the growth of the Indianapolis office and take on long-term leadership responsibilities
