Job Description

Commercial Interiors Superintendent - Manhattan, NYC

    • Manage all on-site construction activities from project start through closeout
    • Supervise subcontractors, vendors, and field personnel to ensure work progresses according to plan
    • Maintain and enforce project schedules, sequencing, and site logistics
    • Coordinate closely with Project Managers, clients, architects, and consultants
    • Conduct daily site inspections and quality control reviews
    • Ensure compliance with OSHA regulations, site safety standards, and NYC building requirements
    • Lead subcontractor meetings and coordinate trade activities to avoid conflicts and delays
    • Identify and resolve field issues proactively to keep projects on track
    • Maintain project documentation including daily reports, inspections, and progress updates

A successful Construction Superintendent should have:

    • Proven experience as a Superintendent on commercial interiors construction projects
    • Strong background managing corporate office fit-outs, tenant improvements, and workplace renovations
    • Thorough understanding of construction sequencing, site logistics, and trade coordination
    • Ability to lead multiple subcontractors and maintain productive jobsite operations
    • Strong knowledge of NYC construction practices, safety regulations, and quality standards
    • Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills
    • Ability to manage fast-paced projects with tight deadlines and occupied building constraints
