Job Description

  • Manage and oversee general contractors, acting as a key liaison between the development team and construction partners.
  • Conduct regular site visits to monitor progress, quality, safety, and adherence to project schedules.
  • Review construction schedules, budgets, change orders, pay applications, and project reporting.
  • Coordinate with architects, engineers, consultants, municipal officials, and subcontractors to resolve project issues.
  • Assist in entitlement, permitting, and municipal approval processes as needed.
  • Identify project risks and develop solutions to mitigate schedule delays and cost overruns.
  • Monitor project quality and ensure compliance with plans, specifications, and applicable codes.
  • Support both ground-up development projects and multifamily renovation/value-add initiatives.
  • Provide regular project updates and reporting to company leadership.

The Successful Applicant

  • 8-15 years of project management experience.
  • Strong background working for a general contractor on large-scale multifamily projects.
  • Experience managing projects valued at $50 million or greater.
  • Demonstrated expertise in construction scheduling, budgeting, contract administration, and project execution.
  • Ability to independently evaluate construction progress and identify potential project risks.
  • Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
  • Willingness to travel throughout the Southeast
