Job Description

The Safety Engineer/Coordinator will be responsible for:

  • Supporting implementation of site-wide safety programs and procedures
  • Conducting site safety inspections, audits, and hazard assessments
  • Assisting with incident investigations and maintaining accurate reporting
  • Partnering with field teams to promote a proactive safety culture
  • Ensuring compliance with OSHA and company safety standards
  • Participating in safety meetings, training sessions, and toolbox talks
  • Monitoring subcontractors to ensure adherence to safety requirements
  • Tracking and maintaining safety documentation and project records

The Successful Applicant

A successful Safety Engineer/Coordinator should have:

  • 1+ year of construction safety experience (GC or subcontractor background)
  • Understanding of OSHA standards and construction safety practices
  • Strong communication skills and ability to engage field teams
  • Detail-oriented with solid organizational and reporting skills
  • Ability to work on active construction sites in a fast-paced environment
  • Relevant safety certifications (OSHA 30 preferred or willingness to obtain)
