Job Description

  • Lead all field operations for ground-up commercial construction projects from site development through project closeout.
  • Manage and coordinate site work activities, including earthwork, grading, underground utilities, drainage, and paving.
  • Develop and maintain construction schedules, look-ahead plans, and subcontractor sequencing.
  • Supervise and coordinate subcontractors, suppliers, vendors, and onsite personnel.
  • Ensure work is completed safely, on schedule, within budget, and in compliance with plans, specifications, and building codes.
  • Enforce company safety policies and OSHA requirements through regular site inspections and safety meetings.
  • Monitor construction quality and proactively identify and resolve field issues and deficiencies.
  • Coordinate inspections, testing, permits, utility providers, and jurisdictional requirements.
  • Collaborate with Project Managers, Engineers, Owners, Architects, and Consultants to maintain project progress and resolve challenges.
  • Maintain accurate daily reports, project documentation, and progress updates.
  • Identify potential schedule impacts, scope changes, and project risks, and assist in developing mitigation plans.
  • Lead project commissioning, punch list completion, final inspections, and owner turnover activities.
  • Foster a professional, productive job site culture focused on accountability, teamwork, and client satisfaction.

The Successful Applicant

  • 7+ years of commercial construction experience, including significant ground-up project experience.
  • 4+ years serving as a Superintendent managing projects from site work through owner turnover.
  • Proven success delivering commercial projects ranging from approximately $5 million to $30+ million.
  • Strong knowledge of site development, earthwork, underground utilities, concrete, structural systems, building envelope, MEP systems, and interior finishes.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple subcontractors, maintain schedules, and drive project execution.
  • Strong leadership presence with the ability to build relationships while holding teams accountable.
  • Excellent planning, problem-solving, and decision-making skills in a fast-paced construction environment.
  • Highly organized with strong attention to detail and a proactive approach to identifying and resolving issues.
  • Effective communicator capable of coordinating with owners, architects, engineers, inspectors, subcontractors, and project teams.
  • Proficient with construction technology platforms such as Procore, Bluebeam, Microsoft Office, and scheduling software.
  • Thorough understanding of OSHA safety requirements and a strong commitment to jobsite safety and quality.
  • OSHA 30 certification required or preferred; additional industry certifications such as CCM, CPR/First Aid, or LEED experience are a plus.
