The Continous Improvement Lead is responsible for leading all operational activities within a manufacturing value stream, ensuring achievement of safety, quality, delivery, cost, and productivity objectives. This individual will oversee production teams, drive continuous improvement initiatives, and play a key role in developing people and improving overall business performance.

Job Description

  • Lead all production and operational activities within the value stream to achieve safety, quality, delivery, cost, and productivity targets.
  • Manage staffing, resource allocation, capacity planning, and production priorities to meet customer demand.
  • Ensure execution of production schedules while identifying and resolving operational constraints.
  • Coach, mentor, and develop supervisors and frontline team members to build a high-performing organization.
  • Foster a culture centered on accountability, teamwork, employee engagement, and continuous improvement.
  • Drive Lean Manufacturing and operational excellence initiatives to improve performance and eliminate waste.
  • Utilize operational metrics and performance data to identify opportunities for improvement and achieve business objectives.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with Engineering, Quality, Supply Chain, and Maintenance teams to optimize results.
  • Maintain accountability for key performance indicators including safety, quality, on-time delivery, productivity, cost, inventory, and employee engagement.

The Successful Applicant

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Operations, Business, or a related discipline preferred.
  • 5+ years of leadership experience within a manufacturing environment.
  • Experience leading supervisors and developing high-performing production teams.
  • Proven track record of improving operational performance through Lean or continuous improvement methodologies.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, leadership, and communication skills.
  • Experience within aerospace or other regulated manufacturing environments is highly desirable.
