Job Description

  • Lead Lean Manufacturing and operational excellence initiatives throughout the manufacturing operation.
  • Facilitate Kaizen events, value stream mapping sessions, root cause analysis activities, and problem-solving workshops.
  • Partner with site leadership to identify productivity improvements and operational efficiencies.
  • Collaborate with engineering teams to evaluate process improvement and automation opportunities.
  • Support the development and implementation of continuous improvement roadmaps aligned with business objectives.
  • Analyze operational KPIs and manufacturing data to identify trends, bottlenecks, and performance gaps.
  • Establish and track improvement goals while ensuring long-term sustainability of implemented solutions.
  • Drive standardisation of best practices, work methods, and operating procedures.
  • Implement and sustain Lean tools including 5S, Standard Work, Visual Management, and daily management systems.
  • Coach and mentor leaders on Lean principles, problem-solving methodologies, and change management techniques.
  • Lead cross-functional improvement projects focused on safety, quality, delivery, cost, and workforce effectiveness.
  • Present project results, operational metrics, and improvement plans to senior leadership teams.
  • Foster a culture of accountability, continuous learning, and employee engagement.

The Successful Applicant

A successful Continuous Improvement Manager should have:

  • Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering
  • 7+ years of experience in Lean Manufacturing, Continuous Improvement, Operational Excellence, or a related manufacturing environment.
  • Demonstrated success leading Lean transformation and process improvement initiatives.
  • Strong understanding of manufacturing operations, labour productivity, quality systems, and operational performance metrics.
  • Experience facilitating Kaizen events and driving cross-functional improvement projects.
  • Ability to influence and collaborate effectively across multiple levels of leadership.
  • Strong communication, facilitation, and relationship-building skills.
  • Data-driven approach to problem solving and decision making.
  • Experience coaching teams through operational and cultural change initiatives.
  • Lean Six Sigma certification
  • Experience within aerospace, automotive, metal manufacturing, or other highly engineered industrial environments.
  • Exposure to automation and process engineering initiatives.
  • Experience implementing KPI scorecards and operational management systems.
  • Bilingual language capabilities.
  • Previous leadership or project leadership experiene
