Job Description

This is a unique opportunity for an ambitious Controller to step into a highly visible leadership role within an expanding industrial real estate platform. Reporting directly to the Founder, you will take ownership of the accounting function, elevate reporting processes, support institutional investor requirements, and build the financial infrastructure needed to support significant acquisition-driven growth.

The role is ideally suited to a high-performing professional looking to accelerate their career in a fast-paced, technology-focused environment where they can make a tangible impact from day one.The Controller will serve as the accounting leader for a growing portfolio of assets and legal entities while helping prepare the business for its next stage of scale.

  • Own the month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes across a complex multi-entity structure (50+)
  • Oversee general ledger, financial reporting, account reconciliations, and balance sheet integrity.
  • Develop processes and controls that support institutional investor reporting requirements.
  • Lead the preparation of consolidated financial statements and management reporting packages.
  • Partner with external auditors, tax advisors, and third-party service providers.
  • Drive accounting automation initiatives and leverage technology to improve efficiency and scalability.
  • Support acquisition integration, entity setup, and finance infrastructure as the portfolio continues to expand.

The Successful Applicant

For the Controller we are seeking:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • Certified Public Accountant (CPA) preferred.
  • Public accounting background strongly preferred, particularly candidates coming from a Big Four or nationally recognized accounting firm.
  • 4-8 years of progressive accounting experience, with a desire to grow into a senior finance leadership position.
  • Experience managing complex reconciliations, financial reporting, and multi-entity accounting structures.
  • Strong technical accounting knowledge and attention to detail.
  • Demonstrated ability to thrive in a high-growth, entrepreneurial environment.
  • Technology-minded individual who embraces automation, systems optimization, and data-driven decision making.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to interact directly with founders, investors, and external stakeholders.
  • Willingness to work closely with the leadership team in an office-based environment.
