We are seeking an experienced Program Manager to lead cross-functional product development programs within a highly regulated aerospace and defense manufacturing environment. This role will be responsible for managing program scope, schedule, cost, risk, customer relationships, and successful product transitions from concept through production.

Job Description

  • Lead assigned aerospace and defense product development programs from proposal through production readiness.
  • Review customer proposals, specifications, and change requests to ensure alignment with technical, schedule, and cost objectives.
  • Develop and maintain detailed program plans, schedules, budgets, and resource requirements.
  • Lead Integrated Product Teams (IPTs) across engineering, operations, supply chain, quality, and manufacturing functions.
  • Serve as the primary customer interface, providing regular status updates, program reviews, and issue resolution.
  • Manage program scope, risks, opportunities, and change-control activities throughout the product lifecycle.
  • Drive execution of program milestones while ensuring customer requirements are met or exceeded.
  • Coordinate design, development, qualification testing, certification, and production readiness activities.
  • Monitor program financial performance, including recurring and non-recurring costs.
  • Facilitate communication among internal stakeholders to ensure alignment on priorities and deliverables.
  • Support successful transfer of products from development into full-rate manufacturing and production operations.
  • Prepare and present program metrics, status reports, forecasts, and executive-level updates.
  • Lead risk mitigation efforts and drive timely resolution of technical, operational, and customer-related issues.
  • Promote continuous improvement and best practices in program and project management processes.

The Successful Applicant

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related technical discipline.
  • 10+ years of experience in Program Management, Project Management, or a related leadership role.
  • Strong knowledge of program management methodologies, tools, and processes.
  • Experience leading cross-functional teams in manufacturing, engineering, or technical environments.
  • Ability to manage complex programs involving cost, schedule, risk, and customer deliverables.
  • Strong business acumen, leadership, organizational, and decision-making skills.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Project, Excel, PowerPoint, and other project management tools.
  • Experience within aerospace, defense, electronics manufacturing, or another regulated industry preferred.
  • Familiarity with engineering development, qualification, certification, and production processes.
  • PMI certification, formal program management training, MBA, or advanced degree preferred.
  • Excellent communication and customer relationship management skills.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain eligibility for access to controlled or classified information, as required.
