Their commitment to continuous improvement, investment in technology, and collaborative culture has established them as a trusted supplier within the automotive industry.Job DescriptionPosition OverviewOur client is seeking a Design Engineer with strong experience in plastics manufacturing to support the design and development of production tooling, fixtures, and component parts. This role requires a hands-on engineering professional who can take concepts from design through manufacturing while driving improvements in quality, efficiency, and performance. Key ResponsibilitiesDesign and develop plastic components, fixtures, tooling, and production equipment using SolidWorks.Create detailed 3D models, assemblies, and manufacturing drawings.Support new product development and existing product improvements.Collaborate with manufacturing, quality, and operations teams to ensure designs are optimized for production.Design and implement fixtures, jigs, gauges, and tooling to improve manufacturing efficiency.Troubleshoot production issues and develop engineering solutions.Conduct design reviews, testing, and validation activities.Maintain engineering documentation, bills of materials, and revision control.MPI does not discriminate on the basis of race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, national origin, age, disability, veteran status, marital status, or based on an individual's status in any group or class protected by applicable federal, state or local law.
