Job Description

This Mechanical Design Engineer will be:

  • Designing automated machine accessories and mechanical systems
  • Leading mechanical design efforts from concept through implementation
  • Creating customer‑specific design solutions and strategies
  • Selecting components including actuators, motors, and sensors
  • Creating detailed drawings, assemblies, and BOMs
  • Supporting CNC machine integration and first‑article builds
  • Collaborating with controls, fabrication, and vendors
  • Supporting installation and post‑deployment technical issues
  • Reviewing designs and mentoring junior engineers

The Successful Applicant

A successful Mechanical Design Engineer will have:

  • Bachelor of Science in an engineering discipline
  • 7+ years of mechanical design engineering experience
  • Experience working with CNC machines or machine tools
  • Strong mechanical design and component selection background
  • Experience training or guiding other engineers
  • Proficiency with 3D CAD (SolidWorks preferred)
  • Knowledge of fabrication and machining processes
  • Strong communication and documentation skills
