Our client is a well‑capitalized, institutional real estate investment platform with a national footprint and a highly active transaction pipeline across residential asset classes. Backed by significant resources and long‑term capital, the firm is scaling its Asset Management function to support sustained acquisition, optimization, and disposition activity.

Job Description

Reporting to the Head of Asset Management the Director / Sr Manager of Asset Management will play a central role in driving portfolio performance during a period of accelerated growth and transformation. Specific duties:

  • Lead the execution of asset‑level business plans across a diversified residential portfolio, with a focus on net operating income (NOI) growth and value creation
  • Oversee budgeting, forecasting, capital planning, and financial performance analysis across assigned assets
  • Identify and implement revenue enhancement, expense optimization, and operational improvement initiatives
  • Partner closely with Investments, Operations, Leasing, Finance, and Market Research teams to ensure alignment from acquisition through disposition
  • Support acquisition due diligence and disposition strategy, including underwriting assumptions, operational insights, and broker coordination
  • Prepare and present performance reporting to internal leadership, investment committees, and capital partners
  • Mentor and develop Asset Management talent as part of a broader team build‑out

The Successful Applicant

The Director of Asset Management will offer:

  • 8+ years of institutional real estate asset management experience; institutional or near institutional level rigor is required.
  • Background within a private equity, investment manager, or similarly sophisticated platform
  • Demonstrated success managing complex residential portfolios through multiple market cycles
  • Strong financial acumen, including budgeting, forecasting, variance analysis, and investment reporting
  • Experience partnering with acquisitions and dispositions teams on high‑volume transaction activity
  • A "builder" mindset and comfortable operating without a rigid playbook while leveraging the resources of a scaled organization
  • Advanced Excel skills and fluency working with asset‑level and portfolio‑level reporting systems



While this is an on-site role in Austin, TX our client offers tremendous flexibility and will relocate exceptional candidates.

What's on Offer

Targeting a base salary near $150,000 plus bonus. Our client will consider well qualified candidates above this range however.
