Director of Estimating & Preconstruction

Key Responsibilities
Leadership & Team Management

• Lead, mentor, and develop a team of estimators.
  
• Establish best practices, processes, and standards for estimating and preconstruction activities.
  
• Foster a high-performance culture focused on accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
  
• Support integration and alignment of estimating functions across acquired businesses as needed.
  

Estimating & Preconstruction

• Oversee preparation, review, and approval of project estimates and competitive bids.
  
• Analyze project specifications, drawings, scope requirements, and risk factors.
  
• Develop pricing strategies that balance profitability, competitiveness, and client needs.
  
• Review and evaluate bids ranging from $100K to $1M+.
  
• Ensure accuracy, consistency, and quality throughout the estimating process.
  

Business Development & Client Relations

• Partner with company leadership on growth initiatives and business development strategy.
  
• Build and maintain strong relationships with customers, contractors, municipalities, agencies, and key stakeholders.
  
• Participate in proposal presentations, client meetings, industry events, and networking opportunities.
  
• Identify new markets, opportunities, and strategic partnerships.
  

Strategic Leadership

• Work directly with the Founder & Chairman to evaluate market opportunities and growth initiatives.
  
• Provide market intelligence, competitive analysis, and forecasting insights.
  
• Support acquisition integration efforts and strategic expansion plans.
  
• Collaborate with operations teams to ensure seamless project handoffs and execution.
