Our client is seeking a Vice President of Manufacturing to establish and lead all manufacturing operations as the organization transitions from technology development into full-scale commercialization. This executive will be responsible for building the manufacturing strategy, facilities, systems, workforce, and operational infrastructure required to support rapid growth and long-term production objectives.

Job Description

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute the overall manufacturing strategy, roadmap, and organizational structure.
  • Build and lead the manufacturing organization, including recruiting and developing leadership teams.
  • Establish manufacturing processes, production systems, industrialization strategies, and operational excellence initiatives.
  • Lead factory planning, facility development, equipment selection, commissioning, and capacity expansion efforts.
  • Drive commercialization and production readiness for advanced energy systems and next-generation thermal technologies.
  • Develop manufacturing engineering capabilities, including DFM/DFA, tooling, automation, and process optimization.
  • Partner cross-functionally with Engineering, Supply Chain, Quality, and Program Management to ensure successful product launches and production scaling.
  • Establish quality systems, production traceability, inspection methodologies, and regulatory readiness processes.
  • Develop long-term strategies supporting future advanced manufacturing and regulated production operations.

The Successful Applicant

Ideal Candidate:

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, Operations, or a related technical discipline; advanced degree preferred.
  • 15+ years of progressive manufacturing leadership experience with demonstrated success building and scaling manufacturing organizations.
  • Proven experience transitioning complex products from development and prototype phases into commercial production.
  • Strong background establishing manufacturing facilities, production systems, and operational infrastructure from the ground up.
  • Experience within aerospace, defense, advanced energy, industrial equipment, nuclear, or other highly engineered industries.
  • Demonstrated success leading multidisciplinary manufacturing, manufacturing engineering, and operations teams.
  • Experience supporting first-of-a-kind hardware, advanced manufacturing technologies, or highly regulated manufacturing environments is strongly preferred.
  • Entrepreneurial mindset with the ability to thrive in fast-paced, high-growth environments.
