Job Description

  • Directs production planning and workflow processes to ensure operational efficiency and on-time delivery.
  • Supports procurement activities for all production-related materials, supplies, and equipment.
  • Leads the recruitment, selection, onboarding, and training of manufacturing personnel.
  • Manages departmental schedules, staffing assignments, and resource allocation.
  • Conducts timely and effective performance evaluations, providing constructive feedback and development guidance.
  • Administers employee disciplinary actions and terminations in accordance with company policies and procedures.
  • Oversees manufacturing operations to ensure production targets, quality standards, and performance objectives are consistently achieved.
  • Analyzes production reports and metrics to monitor safety, quality, financial performance, and delivery objectives.
  • Promotes a safe and healthy work environment by ensuring compliance with federal, state, and company safety regulations in partnership with Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) teams.
  • Collaborates with senior leadership to establish long-term operational strategies, support growth initiatives, and implement advanced technologies.
  • Identifies and facilitates employee training and development opportunities to enhance workforce capabilities and performance.
  • Develops and optimizes departmental organizational structures and team configurations to maximize operational effectiveness.
  • Partners with the Chief Financial Officer to develop and manage operational budgets.
  • Prepares and delivers production, performance, and progress reports to executive leadership as required.
  • Oversees equipment acquisition, maintenance programs, and facility layout planning to support operational needs.
  • Performs additional duties and responsibilities as assigned to support organizational objectives.

The Successful Applicant

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field required; Masters degree preferred.
  • At least ten years of experience in industrial management required
  • Polyethylene extrusion experience is highly preferred
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Excellent organizational and managerial skills.
  • A thorough understanding of the policies and practices used in the manufacturing division.
  • Ability to set long-term goals and communicate them to others.
  • Ability to motivate and organize multiple efforts to accomplish goals.
