Job Description

  • Lead independent audits of model risk management frameworks, with a particular focus on advanced analytics, artificial intelligence governance, and capital modeling oversight.
  • Manage audit projects from initial scoping through final reporting, ensuring high-quality execution and timely delivery of results.
  • Partner with business, risk, and compliance leaders to identify vulnerabilities, enhance controls, and strengthen governance practices.
  • Evaluate adherence to regulatory expectations and industry standards governing model development, validation, implementation, and monitoring.
  • Analyze evolving business risks and recommend adjustments to audit coverage based on changes in risk exposure and organizational priorities.

The Successful Applicant

A successful Director, Model Risk Audit should have:

  • 7+ years of experience in banking, financial services, or consulting, with exposure to model risk, risk management, or audit functions.
  • Hands-on experience performing audits and evaluating risk and control frameworks.
  • Knowledge of model governance, AI/ML risk oversight, and capital modeling practices.
  • Familiarity with regulatory expectations related to model risk management.
  • Advanced degree in Finance, a quantitative field, or a STEM discipline preferred.
