Job Description

  • Lead the operational execution of all light industrial construction projects across the organization
  • Oversee Project Managers, Superintendents, and operational staff to ensure successful project delivery
  • Drive project performance related to safety, quality, schedule, profitability, and client satisfaction
  • Develop and implement operational strategies, systems, and best practices
  • Monitor project financial performance, forecasting, budgeting, and risk management initiatives
  • Establish and maintain operational metrics to improve efficiency and accountability
  • Provide executive oversight of project planning, procurement, staffing, and resource allocation
  • Partner with business development and preconstruction teams to support growth initiatives
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, developers, subcontractors, and industry partners
  • Mentor and develop construction leadership teams to strengthen organizational capabilities
  • Lead operational reviews and executive reporting efforts
  • Ensure compliance with company standards, contract requirements, and safety expectations
  • Identify opportunities for process improvement and operational scalability

The Successful Applicant

  • Experience acting as a Director of Operations, or similar, with a commercial construction general contractor
  • Proven experience overseeing large-scale light industrial projects with clients like Amazon (warehouse, distribution, cold-storage, manufacturing)
  • Experience overseeing project and operations teams
  • Experience developing and implementing operational processes and performance metrics
  • Exceptional leadership, communication, negotiation, and decision-making skills
