Job Description

Reporting directly into senior leadership, the Director of Operations will serve as a key member of the leadership team, responsible for operational performance, process optimization, financial accountability, and organizational scalability.

  • Lead, mentor, and develop operational teams while fostering a culture of accountability, performance, and continuous improvement.
  • Oversee multiple concurrent projects across various locations, ensuring safety, quality, schedule, and financial targets are consistently achieved.
  • Evaluate existing workflows, systems, and operational procedures, identifying opportunities to improve efficiency and scalability.
  • Drive implementation, adoption, and optimization of operational technology, software platforms, reporting tools, and best practices.
  • Establish and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs), scorecards, and operational metrics to improve decision-making and accountability.
  • Own forecasting, budgeting, resource planning, procurement, and operational reporting to enhance business performance and profitability.
  • Partner closely with leadership, sales, finance, project management, and field teams to ensure alignment, mitigate risk, and support company-wide growth initiatives.

The Successful Applicant

  • Minimum of 5 years of commercial roofing experience.
  • Minimum of 3 years of leadership or management experience within construction, roofing, or a related industry.
  • Strong technical knowledge of single-ply, shingle, metal, and standing seam roofing systems.
  • Demonstrated success leading teams, driving performance, and implementing accountability structures.
  • Experience improving operational processes, developing systems, and managing organizational change.
  • Strong commercial acumen with experience overseeing budgets, forecasting, cost controls, and margin performance.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects, priorities, and stakeholders within a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and familiarity with estimating, construction management, scheduling, and business software platforms.
  • OSHA 30 Certification required.
  • Experience with Procore or similar construction management software preferred.
  • Experience creating and implementing operational policies, procedures, and process improvements.
  • Bilingual English and Spanish language skills considered advantageous.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
