Job Description

  • Define and execute the global Manufacturing Quality strategy, ensuring alignment with business objectives, operational goals, and growth initiatives.
  • Lead all manufacturing quality performance metrics including defect rates, escapes, rework, scrap, first-time-right performance, and customer-facing quality results.
  • Establish and standardize quality systems, inspection plans, quality gates, control plans, and workmanship standards across global manufacturing sites.
  • Drive defect prevention through robust process controls, advanced quality planning, risk management, and continuous improvement methodologies.
  • Lead root cause investigations, CAPA activities, and structured problem-solving efforts using tools such as 8D, A3, FMEA, SPC, and RCA.
  • Ensure manufacturing processes are capable, repeatable, scalable, audit-ready, and compliant with ISO 9001 requirements and internal quality standards.
  • Partner closely with Manufacturing Operations, Engineering, Supply Chain, Supplier Quality, and Customer Quality teams to embed quality throughout the product life cycle.
  • Champion Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, SPC, 5S, and operational excellence initiatives to improve factory performance and reduce cost of poor quality.
  • Develop, monitor, and communicate key quality KPIs, leveraging data-driven decision-making to drive accountability and business results.
  • Build, mentor, and lead a high-performing global quality organization while fostering a culture of ownership, continuous improvement, talent development, and operational excellence.

The Successful Applicant

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related technical discipline (Master's preferred).
  • 10+ years of progressive leadership experience in Manufacturing Quality or Operations Quality.
  • Strong semiconductor capital equipment or complex high-tech manufacturing background.
  • Demonstrated experience leading quality teams within global manufacturing environments.
  • Expert knowledge of ISO 9001 and quality management systems.
  • Advanced expertise in FMEA, SPC, RCA, CAPA, 8D, Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma.
  • Proven ability to influence executive stakeholders and cross-functional teams.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
  • Ability to travel domestically and internationally as required.
