Job Description

  • Develop and execute a global manufacturing quality strategy aligned with business objectives and growth plans.
  • Partner closely with manufacturing leadership to establish and maintain best-in-class quality standards across multiple sites.
  • Own key manufacturing quality metrics, including defect reduction, rework, scrap, escapes, and overall product quality performance.
  • Implement and sustain quality systems, inspection processes, quality gates, and process control plans.
  • Lead root cause investigations, corrective actions, and preventive quality initiatives using structured problem-solving methodologies.
  • Collaborate with engineering teams to improve designs, processes, and documentation to prevent quality issues.
  • Ensure compliance with quality standards, regulatory requirements, customer expectations, and internal procedures.
  • Oversee audits, readiness assessments, and continuous improvement efforts across manufacturing operations.
  • Work cross-functionally with engineering, supply chain, supplier quality, and customer quality teams to drive quality at every stage of production.
  • Establish and track performance metrics while utilizing Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, SPC, and other continuous improvement tools.
  • Build, mentor, and develop a high-performing global quality organization focused on accountability and operational excellence.

The Successful Applicant

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related technical discipline; advanced degree preferred.
  • 10+ years of leadership experience in manufacturing quality, operations quality, or related disciplines within high-tech manufacturing environments.
  • Proven success leading quality organizations in complex manufacturing operations.
  • Deep knowledge of ISO 9001, manufacturing quality systems, process controls, and continuous improvement methodologies.
  • Strong expertise with FMEA, SPC, RCA, CAPA, 8D, Lean Manufacturing, and Six Sigma tools.
  • Demonstrated ability to influence stakeholders and drive results across multiple functions and organizational levels.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills with both technical and executive audiences.
  • Willingness to travel domestically and internationally as needed.
  • Experience within capital equipment manufacturing and global production environments is highly desirable.
  • Certifications such as Six Sigma, ASQ CQE, or ISO Lead Auditor are a plus.
