The Regional Director of Metal Stamping Engineering is responsible for leading the execution of manufacturing engineering strategy across North America. This role partners with plant leadership and cross-functional teams to improve performance, standardize engineering practices, and modernize operations through automation and advanced manufacturing technologies.

Job Description

  • Lead execution of manufacturing engineering strategy across North America
  • Align engineering initiatives from corporate vision to plant-level execution
  • Develop and mentor engineering leaders across multiple facilities
  • Build technical capability and succession strength within engineering teams
  • Standardize stamping processes, tooling practices, and engineering methods
  • Drive consistency, scalability, and best-practice deployment across sites
  • Lead continuous improvement initiatives focused on OEE, quality, and productivity
  • Reduce process variation and improve overall manufacturing performance
  • Identify and implement automation, digitalization, and advanced manufacturing technologies
  • Partner with Quality, Operations, and Supply Chain on strategic initiatives
  • Support new product launches and operational readiness activities
  • Provide leadership and direction for capital planning and investment projects
  • Evaluate ROI and drive cost optimization across manufacturing operations

The Successful Applicant

A successful Director of Stamping Engineering should have:

  • BS in Mechanical, Manufacturing, or related Engineering discipline
  • Advanced degree preferred
  • 5+ years of experience in metal stamping or high-volume manufacturing
  • 5+ years of leadership experience supporting multiple sites or regions
  • Deep expertise in metal stamping processes, tooling, and die design
  • Experience with progressive and compound dies strongly preferred
  • Proven success driving Lean Manufacturing and Continuous Improvement initiatives
  • Track record of improving operational performance and manufacturing efficiency
  • Experience implementing automation and advanced manufacturing technologies
  • Ability to influence stakeholders in a global, matrixed organization
  • Strong financial and business acumen
  • Experience with capital planning, investment analysis, and cost management
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and decision-making skills
