Job Description

  • Lead the execution of regional metal stamping engineering strategies across multiple manufacturing locations in North America.
  • Build, mentor, and develop engineering teams, strengthening technical capability and succession pipelines.
  • Standardize stamping processes, tooling methodologies, and engineering practices to improve consistency and scalability.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives focused on increasing operational efficiency, reducing process variation, and enhancing manufacturing performance.
  • Identify and implement automation, digitalization, and advanced manufacturing solutions to modernize operations.
  • Collaborate closely with Quality, Operations, Supply Chain, and other functional teams to resolve complex manufacturing challenges.
  • Support successful product launches through effective engineering leadership and cross-functional coordination.
  • Provide strategic input on capital expenditure projects, investment planning, and return-on-investment analysis.
  • Utilize data-driven decision-making to optimize costs, improve productivity, and achieve operational objectives.
  • Influence stakeholders across a matrixed organization to deliver business-critical engineering initiatives.

The Successful Applicant

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related discipline; advanced qualifications are advantageous.
  • Significant experience within metal stamping manufacturing environments.
  • Proven leadership experience managing engineering teams across multiple sites, regions, or business units.
  • Deep knowledge of stamping processes, tooling systems, and die design, with progressive or compound stamping experience preferred.
  • Demonstrated success driving lean manufacturing, operational excellence, and continuous improvement programs.
  • Experience implementing automation, advanced manufacturing technologies, and process optimization initiatives.
  • Strong commercial acumen with expertise in capital planning, cost management, and investment evaluation.
  • Ability to influence stakeholders at all levels within a complex, matrixed organization.
  • Excellent communication, coaching, and cross-functional leadership skills.
  • Track record of delivering measurable improvements in safety, quality, productivity, and operational performance.
