Job Description

  • Develop, implement, and maintain electrical testing procedures for both production and qualification activities.
  • Design, support, and improve test fixtures, test stations, and automated testing systems.
  • Execute functional, environmental, and diagnostic testing to validate product performance against technical requirements.
  • Investigate electrical failures, perform troubleshooting activities, and support structured root cause analysis efforts.
  • Interpret engineering drawings, schematics, wiring diagrams, and customer specifications to support testing and validation requirements.
  • Partner with design, manufacturing, and quality teams to improve product reliability, manufacturability, and testability.
  • Analyze test results and prepare reports, recommendations, and improvement plans based on data trends.
  • Support new product introduction activities through development of validation plans and test strategies.
  • Maintain and calibrate testing equipment to ensure compliance with quality and regulatory standards.
  • Assist with quality management system documentation, audits, and product qualification activities.

The Successful Applicant

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related technical discipline.
  • 2-5+ years of experience in electrical testing, test engineering, manufacturing engineering, or a similar technical environment.
  • Strong understanding of electrical systems, circuits, and troubleshooting methodologies.
  • Experience performing insulation resistance testing, hipot testing, and electrical fault diagnosis is highly desirable.
  • Familiarity with test equipment such as multimeters, oscilloscopes, power supplies, insulation testers, and data acquisition systems.
  • Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics, engineering drawings, and technical specifications.
  • Experience utilizing root cause analysis methodologies to resolve technical issues.
  • Knowledge of quality systems such as ISO 9001, AS9100, or similar regulated standards is preferred.
  • Exposure to automated testing systems, programming tools, prototyping, or electrical assembly is advantageous.
  • Strong analytical, communication, documentation, and problem-solving skills with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
