Job Description

  • Develop and execute engine and vehicle testing programmes.
  • Create detailed test plans and ensure compliance with applicable regulations and standards.
  • Act as the primary technical point of contact for customers throughout project delivery.
  • Analyse and interpret test data, producing accurate and meaningful results.
  • Validate testing systems, including functionality, safety, and quality checks.
  • Lead troubleshooting activities involving engines, vehicles, instrumentation, and test equipment.
  • Train and mentor engineers and test cell operators.
  • Maintain and improve operating procedures, documentation, and quality processes.
  • Participate in technical meetings, project reviews, and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Ensure adherence to all company and regulatory health and safety requirements.

The Successful Applicant

  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or a related discipline.
  • Master's Degree in Engineering is advantageous.
  • Minimum of 3 years' engineering experience.
  • Previous experience within engine testing, emissions testing, or a similar technical environment preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of emissions regulations, testing procedures, and calibration practices.
  • Solid understanding of engine and emissions testing equipment.
  • Mechanical aptitude with the ability to modify, maintain, and troubleshoot instrumentation.
  • Advanced analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong communication and customer-facing capabilities.
  • Self-motivated, organised, and able to manage multiple priorities.
  • Proven ability to work effectively within a collaborative team environment.
