The Manufacturing Engineering Manager leads the New Project Launch Engineering team in driving successful new product introductions, process optimization, and continuous improvement across manufacturing and quality operations. This role oversees capital projects, establishes technical standards, and directs a team of engineers and technicians to ensure processes and solutions meet customer requirements while advancing operational excellence and profitability.

About Our Client

My client operates a high-precision manufacturing environment utilizing advanced machining technologies to produce complex metal components with exceptionally tight tolerances. The operation integrates automated, CNC-controlled equipment with specialized material-removal processes commonly used in demanding industries such as medical devices, electronics, and aerospace. This position collaborates closely with process development, tooling, and quality teams to ensure consistent, repeatable, and highly accurate production performance.

Job Description

  • Leads the New Project Launch Engineering department to meet customer demand and achieve profit margin goals
  • .· Oversees preparation and implementation of product launches, specification changes, and process changes.·
  • Defines and recommends purchase of capital equipment; prepares investment budgets and payback analyses.·
  • Prepares and manages implementation plans for new part projects.· Reviews, approves, and creates manufacturing work instructions.· Creates or updates routings in the ERP system.·
  • Conducts time studies and labor analyses to improve productivity and efficiency.· Defines quality plans in collaboration with Engineering and Quality teams.·
  • Analyzes technical requirements and specifications against internal process capabilities.·
  • Participates in RFQ (Request for Quotation) processes to ensure technical feasibility.· Drives lean manufacturing and continuous improvement initiatives.
