Job Description

The Engineering Manager will report directly into the President & CEO and be responsible for:

  • Lead, coach, and develop engineering, estimating, quality, and technical teams.
  • Drive manufacturing process improvements, productivity gains, quality enhancements, and cost reductions.
  • Oversee estimating activities, including cost analysis, quotations, and manufacturing feasibility reviews.
  • Support CNC machining, tooling, fixturing, process development, and manufacturing optimization efforts.
  • Manage quality systems and ensure compliance with ISO 9001 and customer-specific standards.
  • Partner with Operations, Sales, and Finance to support growth, profitability, and operational excellence.
  • Lead root cause investigations, corrective actions, and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Interface directly with customers regarding technical requirements, new product introductions, audits, and project execution.
  • Participate in capital planning, technology investments, budgeting, and strategic planning initiatives.

The Successful Applicant

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related technical field, or equivalent experience.
  • 7+ years of engineering experience within a precision manufacturing environment.
  • Background in medical device, defense, aerospace, semiconductor, or other high-precision manufacturing industries preferred.
  • Prior leadership experience managing engineering, quality, estimating, or technical teams.
  • Strong knowledge of CNC machining, tooling, fixturing, GD&T, blueprint reading, and manufacturing processes.
  • Experience with quoting, estimating, manufacturing planning, and cost analysis.
  • Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, or Continuous Improvement certifications.
  • Excellent communication, project management, and leadership skills.
