Job Description

  • Lead, mentor, and develop engineering, estimating, quality, and technical teams.
  • Create a culture focused on accountability, collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement.
  • Align engineering priorities with broader business objectives and operational goals.
  • Provide technical leadership across manufacturing processes, tooling, fixturing, process development, and production optimization.
  • Drive improvements in productivity, cycle times, quality performance, and manufacturing efficiency.
  • Support troubleshooting activities and lead root cause investigations for process and quality issues.
  • Ensure engineering documentation, manufacturing instructions, and technical standards remain accurate and up to date.
  • Oversee estimating functions and support the development of accurate manufacturing cost models and customer quotations.
  • Review technical drawings and specifications to assess manufacturability and project feasibility.
  • Partner with sales and operations teams on new business opportunities, proposals, and customer requirements.
  • Manage quality system compliance activities, corrective actions, audit readiness, and continuous improvement programs.
  • Develop departmental budgets, monitor KPIs, and support capital investment planning.
  • Participate as a member of the senior leadership team and contribute to long-term business strategy.
  • Interface with customers and suppliers to support technical reviews, new product introductions, quality initiatives, and project execution.
  • Lead new product introduction activities and support validation, qualification, and manufacturing transfer processes.

The Successful Applicant

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related technical field, or equivalent industry experience.
  • Extensive manufacturing engineering experience within a precision machining or component manufacturing environment.
  • Proven leadership experience managing engineering, quality, estimating, or technical teams.
  • Strong understanding of CNC machining, tooling, fixturing, blueprint interpretation, and GD&T principles.
  • Experience supporting manufacturing planning, costing, quoting, and operational improvement initiatives.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional projects and drive measurable business results.
  • Strong communication and customer-facing skills.
  • Experience working within highly regulated or quality-focused manufacturing environments.
  • Knowledge of ERP/MRP systems and CAD/CAM software is advantageous.
  • Continuous improvement experience, including Lean Manufacturing or Six Sigma methodologies, is highly desirable.
  • Experience within aerospace, defense, medical, semiconductor, or other high-precision industries would be beneficial.
  • Must meet eligibility requirements related to regulated manufacturing environments and applicable export control regulations.
