Job Description

The Estimator - Aerospace will:

  • Analyze customer drawings, specifications and technical documentation to develop detailed time, cost and labor estimates
  • Prepare and manage manufacturing routings and bills of materials to support production of aerospace components
  • Review and acknowledge RFQs, ensuring technical requirements are clearly understood and addressed
  • Build comprehensive quote packages for internal review and approval
  • Source pricing and technical information from suppliers and external vendors
  • Collaborate with engineering and manufacturing teams to validate processes and machine capabilities
  • Maintain accurate estimating records and support continuous improvement initiatives
  • Follow all safety standards, PPE requirements and workplace organisation practices
  • Support additional operational or estimating tasks as required

The Successful Applicant

A successful Estimator - Aerospace should have:

  • Proven experience in estimating processes and timelines within an aerospace or precision manufacturing environment
  • Strong ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, specifications and manufacturing processes
  • Working knowledge of bills of materials, routings and cost estimation methodologies
  • Familiarity with machining processes, equipment capabilities and production workflows
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to work cross‑functionally
  • Highly organised, self‑directed and comfortable managing multiple priorities
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and estimating-related systems
  • Background in process or manufacturing engineering is advantageous
