Everyone knows each other by name and they like to support and help grow their employees, so they are looking to add an estimator to their close-knit team!Job DescriptionAnalyze construction plans, specifications, and drawings to define project scope.Perform quantity takeoffs, review vendor/subcontractor quotes, and develop accurate estimates using historical data.Participate in pre-bid meetings, bid strategy, client interviews, and presentations.Communicate and coordinate with owners, architects, engineers, and subcontractors.Solicit, evaluate, and prequalify subcontractors/suppliers; distribute project documents to bidders.Support preconstruction and design-assist efforts; contribute to plan reviews and project handoffs.Identify value engineering opportunities and research innovative methods, materials, and solutions.Build and maintain subcontractor relationships to strengthen bid coverage and outcomes.Assist in developing and executing winning bid strategies.Complete additional estimating-related tasks as directed.MPI does not discriminate on the basis of race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, national origin, age, disability, veteran status, marital status, or based on an individual's status in any group or class protected by applicable federal, state or local law.
