Job Description

Responsibilities

  • Prepare detailed conceptual and hard bid estimates for commercial construction projects ranging from approximately $200K to $40M
  • Analyze drawings, specifications, and project documentation to develop accurate cost projections
  • Solicit and evaluate subcontractor and supplier pricing
  • Work closely with project management and preconstruction teams throughout the bidding process
  • Prepare quantity takeoffs, scopes of work, and pricing packages
  • Participate in value engineering efforts and budgeting exercises
  • Assist with proposal preparation, bid submissions, and client presentations
  • Maintain strong relationships with subcontractors, vendors, and industry partners

The Successful Applicant

A successful Estimator - Commercial Construction should have:

  • Experience as an Estimator within commercial construction
  • Ground-up construction experience strongly preferred
  • Ability to estimate projects across a variety of sectors including commercial, retail, healthcare, multifamily, manufacturing, and institutional work
  • Strong understanding of construction means, methods, and estimating practices
  • Experience utilizing Procore and Microsoft Office products
  • Excellent communication, organization, and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a close-knit team environment
  • Stable work history and a strong cultural fit are highly valued
