About Our Client

My client is a comprehensive construction company enhancing value through their integrated building process. With over 20 years of experience, my client offers design-build, construction management, and general contracting services. They work a diverse variety of projects from historic renovations to new construction for corporate, healthcare, multifamily and entertainment clients.

Job Description

  • Prepare accurate and comprehensive cost estimates for construction projects.
  • Analyze project plans, specifications, and other documentation to determine project requirements.
  • Collaborate with project managers, architects, and engineers to ensure alignment on project scope and budgets.
  • Obtain and evaluate supplier and subcontractor quotes to support cost estimates.
  • Monitor and manage project budgets to ensure adherence to financial objectives.
  • Identify potential cost-saving opportunities and provide recommendations to project stakeholders.
  • Maintain accurate records of estimates, budgets, and project costs.
  • Stay updated on industry trends, pricing, and construction methods.

The Successful Applicant

  • Previous experience in commercial construction estimating
  • St. Louis market knowledge
  • Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications
  • Experience working across commercial sectors (retail or office space preferred)
  • Proficiency in estimating software and strong Excel capability
  • Strong analytical and communication skills
  • Experience with bid solicitation and quantity take off software
  • Driven, ambitious mindset with a desire for career progression
