Job Description

  • Review project drawings, specifications, and scope details to build accurate construction estimates.
  • Measure quantities and identify labor, material, equipment, and subcontractor costs for each project.
  • Prepare bid pricing and estimate summaries that clearly outline project costs.
  • Request and compare vendor and subcontractor quotes to support pricing decisions.
  • Identify scope gaps, cost risks, and pricing assumptions before bids are submitted.
  • Maintain organized estimate files, quote records, and supporting project documents.
  • Work with Construction department contacts to clarify project requirements and estimate details.
  • Update estimates when drawings, specifications, or project scope change.

The Successful Applicant

A successful Estimator - Denver should have:

  • Experience preparing construction estimates from drawings, specifications, and project scope documents.
  • Ability to perform quantity takeoffs and build detailed labor and material cost estimates.
  • Experience reviewing vendor and subcontractor pricing.
  • Ability to identify pricing assumptions, scope gaps, and cost considerations.
  • Strong attention to detail when preparing bid documents and estimate records.
  • Ability to communicate estimate questions and pricing details clearly.
