Known for its collaborative culture and strong focus on employee development, the company offers long-term stability, exciting work, and significant career growth opportunities.Job DescriptionThe Estimator - Federal Projects - Bowie, MD will be responsible for:Prepare detailed cost estimates and bid proposals for large-scale federal construction projects.Analyze drawings, specifications, and project requirements to develop accurate pricing strategies.Solicit and evaluate subcontractor and vendor pricing while leveraging established industry relationships.Collaborate closely with project teams to identify value engineering opportunities and winning bid strategies.Assist in managing the estimating process from initial pursuit through final submission.Support and mentor a junior estimator, helping to develop skills and improve team efficiency.Work directly with senior leadership to contribute to business growth and project acquisition efforts.Utilize Bluebeam, Adobe, and Microsoft Office to perform quantity takeoffs, document analysis, and proposal preparation.MPI does not discriminate on the basis of race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, national origin, age, disability, veteran status, marital status, or based on an individual's status in any group or class protected by applicable federal, state or local law.
