The Estimator will play a critical role in preconstruction efforts, partnering with operations and leadership teams to deliver competitive and accurate proposals.Job DescriptionLead estimating efforts for federal and commercial construction projectsPrepare detailed quantity takeoffs and cost estimates for assigned scopes of workReview project drawings, specifications, and bid requirementsDevelop accurate project budgets, bid proposals, and pricing packagesSolicit, evaluate, and level subcontractor and supplier proposalsMaintain and expand relationships with key subcontractors, vendors, and consultantsParticipate in site visits and pre-bid meetings to gather project informationEnsure appropriate subcontractor coverage for all bid opportunitiesPrepare and review bid general conditions prior to submissionWork closely with operations teams to develop a complete understanding of project scopeAnalyze project risks and identify cost-saving opportunitiesTrack bid results and maintain estimating metrics and reportingAssist with pricing and negotiating change orders as neededSupport hard bid, IDIQ, task order, and design-build pursuitsContribute to continuous improvement of estimating processes and databasesMPI does not discriminate on the basis of race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, national origin, age, disability, veteran status, marital status, or based on an individual's status in any group or class protected by applicable federal, state or local law.
