They are seeking an experienced Construction Estimator with a proven background in mixed commercial construction. This role requires expertise in both ground-up construction and interior renovations/tenant improvements, with a particular emphasis on heavy ground-up projects.

Job Description

  • Prepare detailed and accurate cost estimates for retail and mixed commercial construction projects.
  • Review drawings, specifications, and bid documents to develop comprehensive project budgets.
  • Perform quantity take-offs and pricing analysis.
  • Solicit and evaluate subcontractor and supplier bids.
  • Identify project risks, opportunities, and value engineering solutions.
  • Collaborate with operations, project management, and preconstruction teams throughout the bidding process.
  • Support project handover activities and maintain estimating records.
  • Stay informed on market conditions, labor trends, and material pricing.

The Successful Applicant

  • 5+ years of estimating experience within commercial construction.
  • Strong experience estimating ground-up commercial projects is essential.
  • Experience with retail, healthcare, mixed-use developments, and/or interior fit-outs/renovations highly preferred
  • Ability to perform detailed quantity take-offs and cost analysis.
  • Strong understanding of construction methods, materials, and subcontractor scopes.
  • Proficiency with industry-standard estimating software.
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple estimates simultaneously while meeting deadlines.
