A respected and rapidly growing commercial construction company is seeking an experienced Estimator to join its preconstruction team. Known for delivering high-quality projects with integrity, technical expertise, and a client-focused approach, this organization has established a strong reputation across a diverse portfolio of construction projects.

Job Description

  • Analyze project plans and specifications to prepare accurate cost estimates.
  • Collaborate with project managers, architects, and clients to understand project requirements.
  • Evaluate subcontractor and supplier proposals to ensure cost-effectiveness and compliance with project specifications.
  • Develop and maintain a database of material costs, labor rates, and industry trends.
  • Prepare detailed bid proposals and present them to stakeholders.
  • Monitor project costs and adjust estimates as necessary.
  • Support value engineering efforts to optimize project budgets while maintaining quality standards.
  • Participate in post-bid and project review meetings to enhance future estimating accuracy.

The Successful Applicant

A successful Estimator should have:

  • Experience with preparing cost estimates for construction projects.
  • Strong analytical and mathematical skills.
  • Proficiency with estimating software and tools.
  • Knowledge of construction materials, methods, and industry standards.
  • Effective communication and collaboration skills.
  • Detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Educational background or certifications in construction management, engineering, or a related field.
  • Experience with commercial ground ups, tenant improvement, hard bid/ public bidding
