Job Description

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare detailed cost estimates for commercial construction projects.
  • Review project plans, specifications, and bid documents.
  • Solicit and evaluate subcontractor and supplier quotations.
  • Perform quantity takeoffs and pricing analysis.
  • Identify project risks and opportunities during the bidding process.
  • Collaborate with project managers, operations teams, and leadership.
  • Maintain accurate estimating databases and bid records.
  • Assist in developing competitive and profitable proposals.
  • Participate in pre-bid meetings and client discussions as required.

The Successful Applicant

Qualifications & Experience

  • Estimator has a Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field preferred.
  • 3+ years of estimating experience within commercial construction.
  • Strong understanding of construction methods, materials, and pricing.
  • Experience with estimating software and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications.
  • Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building abilities.
  • Ability to manage multiple deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
