Job Description

The Estimator will report to the Preconstruction Manager and work closely with operations, project management, and executive leadership teams to support the pursuit of new projects.

  • Prepare detailed quantity takeoffs and cost estimates for ground-up commercial construction projects
  • Solicit, evaluate, and level subcontractor and supplier bids
  • Develop conceptual, schematic, and hard bid estimates
  • Analyze plans, specifications, and project documents to identify risks and opportunities
  • Assist in bid preparation, proposal development, and scope review
  • Collaborate with project management teams during project turnover
  • Support value engineering efforts to improve project competitiveness and profitability

The Successful Applicant

For the Estimator - Commercial Construction we are seeking:

  • 3+ years of estimating experience within commercial construction
  • Experience estimating ground-up construction projects
  • Understanding of commercial project costs, budgeting, and construction methods
  • Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications
  • Experience working with subcontractors and vendor pricing
  • Proficiency with estimating software and Microsoft Office Suite
  • Knowledge of construction management platforms such as Procore is a plus
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building abilities
  • Degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field preferred
