Founded in 1960, the company specializes in heavy earthwork, underground utilities, paving, and site development projects, leveraging advanced GPS technology and a large fleet of equipment to deliver high-quality civil construction services.Job DescriptionPrepare detailed cost estimates and competitive bid proposals for heavy civil and sitework projects.Review plans, specifications, geotechnical reports, and contract documents to assess project scope and risk.Perform quantity takeoffs and pricing for labor, equipment, materials, and subcontractor scopes.Solicit, review, and analyze subcontractor and supplier quotations.Develop accurate production rates and project budgets utilizing historical cost data and market trends.Attend pre-bid meetings, site visits, and scope review sessions as required.Identify value engineering opportunities and cost-saving alternatives.Collaborate closely with project managers, superintendents, and operations leadership during the estimating process.Prepare bid packages and assist with proposal submissions.Maintain a database of subcontractors, suppliers, and historical project costs.Support project handoff meetings upon award to ensure a seamless transition to the operations team.Monitor market conditions and material pricing to maintain estimating accuracy.MPI does not discriminate on the basis of race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, national origin, age, disability, veteran status, marital status, or based on an individual's status in any group or class protected by applicable federal, state or local law.
