The Financial Control Consultant will provide critical support in the Accounting & Finance department within the financial services industry. This role involves ensuring accurate financial reporting and compliance with regulatory requirements.

Job Description

  • Perform monthly/quarterly close functions in accordance with US GAAP
  • Prepare reconciliations and reporting to ensure accuracy of the financials
  • Prepare financial statements, Head Office reporting, BHC reporting and other reports, as needed
  • Perform balance sheet and income statement variance analysis
  • Assist in month-end and year-end closing processes, including reconciliations and journal entries.
  • Support internal and external audit processes by providing accurate and timely documentation.
  • Stay updated on changes in accounting standards and regulations that may impact the business.

The Successful Applicant

A successful Financial Control Consultant should have:

  • 5+ years of relevant experience.
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field required.
  • CPA preferred.
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills to interpret complex financial information
  • Capacity to multi-task and deal with shifting priorities while always maintaining focus on delivering timely information to management and key stakeholders
  • Keen attention to detail and excellent organizational skills
