This General Superintendent position offers visibility across the entire project portfolio and the opportunity to mentor field staff while supporting continued company growth. The General Superintendent will serve as a key operational leader, ensuring projects are positioned for success from planning through completion.

Job Description

  • Provide oversight and strategic support across multiple active construction projects simultaneously
  • Mentor, coach, and develop superintendents and field teams
  • Evaluate project performance and identify opportunities to improve execution, planning, and field operations
  • Support superintendents with means and methods, scheduling, subcontractor coordination, and problem-solving
  • Assist in resolving field challenges while maintaining positive relationships with project teams
  • Serve as a resource for operational planning, logistics, and project delivery strategies
  • Build and maintain strong subcontractor and trade partner relationships
  • Travel between project sites throughout Washington, DC and the surrounding 495 Beltway region
  • Help maintain quality, safety, schedule, and operational standards across the portfolio
  • Collaborate closely with company leadership and field operations teams to support business objectives



The General Superintendent will oversee a portfolio consisting primarily of food & beverage, hospitality, restaurant, commercial interiors, rehabilitation, restoration, and historic preservation projects. The General Superintendent will act as a trusted advisor to field teams while ensuring each project receives the support needed to achieve successful outcomes.

The Successful Applicant

  • Senior Superintendent or General Superintendent experience within commercial construction
  • Proven ability to oversee and support multiple projects simultaneously, ideally 4-5 projects at one time
  • Experience with hospitality, restaurant, food & beverage, commercial interiors, restoration, rehabilitation, or historic preservation projects
  • Strong leadership, mentoring, and coaching abilities
  • High emotional intelligence with a collaborative leadership approach
  • Ability to influence teams while respecting field autonomy and existing leadership structures
  • Strong subcontractor relationships and industry network
  • Expertise in project planning, field operations, scheduling, and construction execution
  • Comfortable working across multiple project sites throughout the DC metro area

  • Base salary: $150,000 - $165,000
  • Annual performance bonus opportunity of approximately 20%
