Job Description

  • Provide leadership and oversight for a portfolio of construction projects, ensuring safe, timely, high-quality, and profitable execution.
  • Direct, mentor, and develop Project Superintendents, Assistant Superintendents, and Field Engineers while establishing consistent field operations standards.
  • Champion a zero-incident safety culture by enforcing OSHA compliance, conducting site audits, and driving accountability across all projects.
  • Monitor project schedules, sequencing, and productivity, proactively identifying and resolving issues that impact cost, schedule, quality, or safety.
  • Conduct regular jobsite visits to evaluate construction progress, workforce performance, trade partner coordination, and client satisfaction.
  • Collaborate with Project Managers and Operations leadership to develop staffing plans, allocate field resources, and support workforce forecasting.
  • Drive quality assurance and quality control efforts to ensure compliance with contract documents, specifications, and company standards.
  • Support preconstruction activities by providing constructability reviews, logistics planning, phasing strategies, and operational input during project pursuit and planning stages.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with owners, architects, consultants, and trade partners to foster successful project outcomes and repeat business opportunities.
  • Lead continuous improvement initiatives across the field organization by implementing best practices, leveraging construction technology, and promoting operational excellence.

The Successful Applicant

A successful General Superintendent should have:

  • Experience with construction project coordination and management.
  • Experience across all large commercial light industrial and data center projects.
  • Knowledge of safety regulations and construction standards.
  • Strong communication and organizational skills.
  • Ability to identify and solve on-site issues effectively.
  • Proficiency in maintaining detailed project documentation.
